Xiaomi plans launch of entry level phone on April 8 with 13MP camera
Xiaomi is all set to come out with a great handset. This may not seem amazing to many people as the company has always been known to come out with great handsets that cost the lowest by market standard.
But you will be amazed to know that this handset is going to cost just Rs 5000 and will come with good display quality and a rear camera that will come with 13 mega pixel. Given our experience with its latest entry level handset Xiaomi Redmi 1S or the Xiaomi Redmi2, this handset is going to be the biggest success of all in the Indian market.
If Micromax was trying to fight off the competition with very good Yureko Yu handset, it will have to tweek its strategy by now trying to beat this handset. And I am sure the Indian smartphone major with 18 percent market share is going to face a hell lot of problem in facing off the competition. Xiaomi is destined to beat almost everyone in the Indian market with such dirt cheap handsets coming with so great specifications.
When it comes to specifications, this handset according to leaks by Chinese blog Mydrivers.comcomes with 4.7-inch HD (720x1280p) display, 1.6GHz Leadcore LC1860 quad core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front snapper. The handset will come loaded with Android 4.4 KitKat out of box with new Xiaomi MIUI skin on top. The only mystery is when the company will launch it in India.
