Xiaomi Mi 4i, Xiaomi Mi Band break all success records in India
Xiaomi products are all very popular in India and they break all previous records of appeal and sales. The Chinese smartphone maker’s handsets have done exceedingly well in the Indian market. Its handsets, when available for flash-sales are usually sold out within two or three seconds.
So while the success of its smartphones is a foregone conclusion, the same is not true about its accessories and many had doubt about their success when the company announced their launch in the Indian market a few weeks ago. But the naysayers were actually wrong. There is no denying the fact.
In the first flash sale of Xiaomi’s Mi Band that was conducted on the Chinese smartphone giant’s Mi official website (mi.com/in) the Mi Band went out of stock within seconds. The company was selling its Xiaomi Mi Band for just Rs 999 and all the units of the health tracker were sold out in just seven seconds.
So Xiaomi’s success actually didn’t depend on Flipkart. It can also manage to do the same miracle without the support of India’s top ecommerce platform Flipkart, and this must be a great thought for the company bosses.
It is needless to say that company bosses are more than excited with the success. Xiaomi’s India head Manu Kumar Jain tweeted, “First sale of Mi Band went out of stock in seven seconds.†Xiaomi didn’t indulge in details about the number of units.
