Wimbledon 2015 women’s final: time, TV schedule, live streaming details, Serena Williams in great form, will have it easy
Serena Williams’ rather easy and one-sided win in the semifinal match against Maria Sharapova was not surprising. The sort of tennis she is playing this year and for the last many, many years has left no one in doubt that she is unbeatable when she is fit and in the right state of the mind.
Now everyone is claiming that the American tennis star who beat her sister and former world number on Venus Williams before reaching quarterfinals is in her best frame of mind. They are claiming that her success is a foregone conclusion in the Wimbledon.
To be true, the semifinal was easier than even the quarterfinal match in which Serena Williams had to struggle. But the semifinal was easy as Sharapova failed to come up with a spirited attack against an opponent who is always aggressive. Without beign aggressive you cannot tame a Williams.
There is no denying the fact that the Serena Williams vs Maria Sharapowa Wimbredon women’s semifinal match was practically over once Serena Williams got out to a 0-30 lead on Maria Sharapova’s serve in the opening game of the match. Later the world No. 1 dispatched her “rival†with an easy 6-2, 6-4 victory to give her 17 wins in a row in that series, put herself in prime position to win her 21st major, cap her second Serena Slam and leave herself seven matches in New York away from winning the first calendar Grand Slam since 1988. If she wins Wimbledon 2015, it will be her third major win this year.
There is no denying the fact that she has massive chance of winning the final. She has already beaten at least three former world number one players in the course of the match and the blond standing in her way Garbine Muguruza, a 21-year-old from Spain who defeated Serena at last year’s French Open, but fell to her in this year’s Australian. Beating Serena once again is going to be a very difficult if not impossible for the Spaniard.
