Presidential debate 2016: Top takeaways from it

New York: Who won the presidential debate 2016? This is the question that everyone seems to be asking. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump face off in the high-pitched debate last night received unprecedented attention from voters across the US and people from across the world.

Everyone was eager to see what is the stand of the two presidential hopefuls from Democratic and Republican parties. While the two have made their stand very clear months in advance, the faceoff was the first for the two candidates and thus the huge enthusiasm.

Donald Trump has gone to great length in trying to please everyone. Merely a few hours before the debate, he told the world that he will recognize ‘occupied’ Jerusalem as the legitimate capital of Israel. This coming from a man who was not very popular with AIPAC merely months ago shows the charlatan like changes that he has undergone recently.

Many people thought that Hillary Clinton will beat him without much of an effort with her decades’ long experience as top US diplomat representing the country throughout the world. While there are reasons to believe that he won the debate by a whisker, Donald Trump’s defiance and aggression won him many more Republican support.
