Who won the Republican debate 15/12: How Donald Trump checkmated Jeb Bush
Who won the debate last night is a question that is going viral on social networking sites and being hotly discussed on all other forums. Nine Republican presidential hopefuls battled each other.
While some spared the others, there were heated exchanges among them on several issues. The most serious barbs were traded between the man who is front runner now Donald Trump and the man who was front runner at the beginning of the primary season namely Jeb Bush.
Bush has been written off on several occasions but till now he has remained relevant and has shown sparks that suggest that his campaign is not yet over. Attacking Donald Trump, Jeb Bush said, “imagine what it’s going to be like dealing with Putin or dealing with President Xiâ€.
Nonetheless Trump tried to belittle Jeb Bush by telling him the commanding lead he has over others including Bush junior. He said I am at 40 and you are at just three.
In the meantime Rubio and Cruz are gaining momentum. The two have seen their stocks soar in the last few weeks and last night too they performed rather very well. Brandon Rottinghaus, University of Houston political scientist while talking about it says, “(Ted) Cruz was attacked from all sides, and he managed himself well . . . It was apparent the race at the top is between Trump and Cruz and Rubio . . . Trump’s performance was about where it had been, and he kept his message at about the same level . . . (Marco) Rubio did well but didn’t excel in a way that I thought he wouldâ€.
