What time is the Republican debate tonight: FOX GOP debates lineup, Schedule, how to watch live streaming free
Rand Paul has been thrown to the undercard in Republican debate tonight. This is a big jolt to not just for him but also for millions and millions of his fans across the US who want to see him appear on the primetime debate.
From nine Republican presidential hopefuls in the last primary debate to just seven in tonight’s debate, Rand Paul was unable to make it into the primetime debate. Now he will have to sit with the laggards and participate in a discussion that doesn’t attract much of attention either from viewers or analysts.
Despite the fact that Fox Business has made it plainly clear that they are not going to change their eligibility criteria, Rand Paul is still trying his best to sneak into the main debate.
While talking to MSNBC’s “Morning Joe†Rand Paul said, “We do deserve to be first tier…We just can’t accept any kind of artificial designation that tells our supporters or voters in Iowa that we’re not in the first tier because everything else indicates that we should be.â€
Paul and his fans were hit hard when Fox Business Network announced Monday that he actually failed to qualify for the main debate stage under its qualifications, and would instead have a slot in the undercard debate.
A visibly angry and disappointed looking Paul said that he would skip attending if he missed the primetime cut. Under the Fox Business rules, the primetime lineup was restricted to candidates who placed in the top six in recent qualifying national polls or the top five in recent polls of Iowa or New Hampshire.
