Republican debate tonight live: Will Donald Trump win the GOP debate?
The fifth Republican presidential primary debate is going to be held in Las Vegas today. There is huge excitement as far as the debate is concerned. There is no denying the fact that the decibel level will be very high in the fifth debate that will feature as many as nine presidential hopefuls.
Though going by the initial criteria only five contestants would have been part of the debate, but then CNN, the channel that is hosting the debate tonight tweaked the criteria and added four more hopefuls who have been part of the last four Republican debates.
Not much time is left in the beginning of the debate. The GOP candidates will take to the stage in Las Vegas tonight for the debate that will air on CNN at 7:30 p.m. central.
CNN in a report said that “Businessman Donald Trump, the front-runner for the nomination, will again be center stage flanked by retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson on his right and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz on his left, CNN announced Sunday. The six remaining participants in the prime-time contest will be Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, businesswoman Carly Fiorina, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paulâ€.
In the meantime there will be another debate that is being called the undercard. Four candidates — former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham and former New York Gov. George Pataki are going to be part of the debate that will be held before the main debate. CNN said that the debate involving these four heavyweights will begin at 5 p.m. central.
