Many health experts say that any weight loss campaign is merely waste of money as it cannot help people lose required weight and get rid of obesity.

A report in the Medical Journal of Australia says that weight loss in obese people will led to changes in energy expenditure and hunger-controlling hormones that encourage weight gain. The report quotes an expert as saying that “…likely that it is these physiological adaptations that make it so difficult to maintain weight loss. Importantly … in those who are already obese, public health messages encouraging people to eat healthy food and exercise are unlikely to have a long-term impact on their weight.”

There are many experts who are advocating that the government start funding bariatric surgery to keep people away from a disease that is spreading like wildfire. According to an expert bariatric surgery may give long-term weight loss for the obese. In this way money may be utilized in a batter way.
