What will be the outcome of the India vs Pakistan cricket match at the Eden Garden in Kolkata today? Both the teams will try their best to beat the rivals and move up the ladder in one of the biggest cricket events in the world.

No one wants to lose such a match and more so when the other team belongs to a nation with whom they have fought wars over the last close to seven decades. Peace between India and Pakistan has been elusive and what has kept them busy is animosity, rivalry and a tradition of hostility.

The match would have look drab and boring had India won against New Zealand and had Pakistan lost the match against Bangladesh. To be true, this was the likely scenario before the two matches were held. But then in cricket you cannot predict anything.

Now things are looking uncertain for India and Pakistani team seems to be smarting following its change of fortune since it landed in Kolkata. To be true, the match is so much important that legendary Pakistani cricketer Imran Khan has come to Kolkata to give some tips to Pakistani cricket team. There are reasons to believe that Imran who has become an important politician in Pakistan will be much more than a spectator. He is accompanied by Wasim Akram, another great cricketer.

Reports suggest that Imran Khan will be providing captain Shahid Afridi with “experience-based tips” to rally Pakistan, who have a history of underperforming against India in big games. “Shahid Afridi had sought my advice on Pakistan’s match against India. I don’t know what exactly Pakistan team’s grey areas are, but I will try to give them suggestions in the light of my own experience,” Imran told reporters at his Bani Gala residence. “I’ll suggest the players against succumbing to any pressure.”

In the meantime Pakistan coach Waqar Youni has said that the match should be taken like just another match. “We should take it as a sport…There is history between the two nations, not only culturally but also cricket history. The way we have played cricket in the past 50 years it’s a treat to watch for the world. It’s the most watched game. So we should all cherish that and feel proud of it.” Fans who want to watch the India vs. Pakistan cricket match live online can click here for streaming video through Star Sports.
