This is a speech that was being talked about for days. In fact the speech and the speaker, both, were going viral since it became known that the former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney was going to give a piece of his mind to current Republican presidential front runner Donald Trump.

While Donald Trump’s stock has been surging, GOP establishment seems to be developing cold feet. Party top brass is not ready to accept Donald Trump’s candidature and it can go to any extent to thwart his dreams, even going to the extent of backing Ted Cruz, another anti-Washington figure.

Some GOP leaders are airing the idea of Marco Rubio as the running mate of Ted Cruz. “It is time for Ted Cruz to accept we need a unity ticket and for Rubio to agree to be Cruz’s vice presidential pick, uniting the outsider and insider factions of the party and stopping Trump in the process,” wrote Erick Erickson in a blog post.

This seems to be gaining some sort of acceptability. “Cruz and Rubio together would be a really powerful ticket. It would be forward-looking. You would have two first-time senators of Cuban descent in their 40s. It would be a tremendous contrast with Hillary and whoever she nominates” Mackowiak told a news channel.

In the meantime Mitt Romney as expected delivered a speech earlier today at University of Utah’s Hinckley Institute of Politics. The twenty-minute speech started at 11:30 a.m. Eastern time.

Mitt Romney while tearing into Trump said, “I predict that there are more bombshells in his tax returns. I predict that he doesn’t give much if anything to the disabled and to our veterans. I predict that he told the New York Times that his immigration talk is just that: talk. And I predict that despite his promise to do so, first made over a year ago, he will never ever release his tax returns. Never. Not the returns under audit, not even the returns that are no longer being audited. He has too much to hide. Nor will he authorize the Times to release the tapes. If I’m right, you will have all the proof you need to know that Donald Trump is a phony,” Romney said during the speech”.
