Walmart Cyber Monday 2015 is now Cyber Week: Deals include iPad Air, HDTVs etc
Things are changing pretty fast as far as shopping preference of shoppers are concerned. People used to shop online using their laptops and desktops. But things have changed almost completely these days and shoppers are using new technologies to do their shopping.
Biggest retailer in the world, Walmart, has said that more than half of the shoppers using their web platform to place the orders used their mobile since Thanksgiving Day.
In a statement released to the media Fernando Madeira, President and CEO, Walmart.com said that “Mobile firmly established itself as the dominant shopping trend, for both traffic and sales. Mobile is making up more than 70 percent of traffic to Walmart.com, and now, nearly half of our orders since Thanksgiving have been placed on a mobile device – that’s double compared to last year. Our customers went from previously mostly searching and browsing on mobile, to making purchases at a much higher rate.
He also talked about the products that received disproportionate attention of the shoppers. They were definitely after gaming consoles, television sets and of course tablets and smartphones. “…products that grew the most in popularity from last year. Star Wars toys, 4K HDTVs 50-55â€, drones, Xbox One and PS4 video game bundles, iPad Minis and 14-ft. trampolines were among the categories that gained the biggest boost in popularity, and we bought deep in these items to serve customers looking to wrap up those gifts. 2,000 of these and other Cyber Week deals are available on Walmart.com each day through Friday, Dec. 4th†he went on to add.
In the meantime, despite the fact that Cyber Monday is over, Walmart is offering many a discounts under Cyber Week.
