Verizon’s FIOS TV subscription is customizable, channel package begins at $55-a-month

Reports suggest that Verizon Communications has come out with several new packages for its FiOS TV service that lets its users to actually select the networks they want to watch.
It is needless to say that this is a sort of recognition that many TV users actually donâ€™t watch many channels and are content with the ones they actually love.
It is needless to say that with the new development TV viewers are also going to be happy. FiOS Custom TV comes with a $55-a-month base package of channels. These channels may come with local broadcast stations besides many top channels, including CNN, HGTV, AMC and Food Network. With their favorite channels they also get two of the seven genre-specific channel packs â€” kids, pop culture, lifestyle, entertainment, news & info, sports and sports plus.
If you want to see more, you will have to shell out $10 extra per month for each package.Â But if you can wait for one month you can actually change your channel packs without paying any extra penny.
The company sees it a good bet for attracting new users. â€œThis is an entirely new way to personalize TV,â€ said Tami Erwin, president of Verizonâ€™s Consumer and Mass Business group, in a statement.
