Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T users in Alabama, Tennessee take to social media as outage continue
LOUISVILLE — AT&T users in Louisville are complaining internet and cellphone outage for the last several hours. This is very disappointing for users who want the services to be available uninterrupted.
They are feeling let down though services of other cellphone operators too seem to be badly impacted over larger area. Verizon and T-Mobile users too are facing disruption.
Following the criticism by the AT&T users in the state and criticism on social media, the telecom operator in a statement on social media said, “Some customers in the Southeast are experiencing issues, but we’re investigating and working toward a solutionâ€.
There is no denying the fact that unlike a decade or so, service outage is uncommon in this part of the world and outages are experienced only in extreme cases when there is severe storm or other such issues.
AT&T spokeswoman Cathy Lewandowski told the media that the company hasn’t been able to pinpoint the problem. “Some customers across parts of the Southeast are experiencing wireline and wireless service issues…We are investigating the cause and working as quickly as possible to restore service. We apologize for this inconvenience†said she.
To be true, the issue is not just limited to AT&T. other telecom operators too are facing hiccups. Reports suggest that others including Verizon and T-Mobile too appear to be experiencing technical difficulties in the Tennessee Valley area, according to an outage map on downdetector.com. Verizon tweeted, “We’re aware of a connectivity issue in the Alabama/Tennessee area. Our engineers are working to resolve quickly. Will update as we know more.â€
