Untethered iPhone 4S jailbreak done, iPad 2 jailbreak very close

It is finally here. Untethered iPhone 4S jailbreak has been done by Pod2g and now it seems iPad 2 jailbreak may be very close

The wait for it has been the longest in the history of iPad and iPhone jailbreak. Apple’s A-5 devices seemed impossible to jailbreak, nonetheless this is going to become a thing of past pretty soon.

Though there were many claims about the jailbreak of iPhone 4S and iPad 2, nonetheless these claims remained mere claims and many thought it was actually impossible to accomplish that.

A report has earlier said that Pod2g has completed the testing of all A4 devices and was nearing the completion of iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak. The report later said that he bought an iPhone 4S to continue testing his 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak techniques which have now yielded results.

Many people had suggested that once Pod2g jailbreaks iPhone, the iPad 2 jailbreak would arrive shortly after.

Pod2g, a French iOS devices hacker and his friends have finally released a video while jailbreaking iPhone 4S and iPad 2 and showed that they have accomplished that hard task that many had called impossible to accomplish. Both devices when jailbroken were running iOS 5.0.1.
