UGC HRD concludes training of newly appointed teachers: Update
Aligarh: The University Grants Commission Human Resource Development Centre (UGC HRD), Aligarh Muslim University recently concluded the 138th Orientation Programme for training newly appointed University and College teachers.
At least 31 teachers from Assam, Jammu and Kashmir and various parts of Uttar Pradesh attended this four-week long course at UGC HRD, AMU.
On the occasion, Prof Badar Alam Iqbal of AMUâ€™s Department of Commerce, who attended the function as the Chief Guest said that it is important for teachers to keep updating their knowledge. He added that the best way to update knowledge is by having access to new published books and research journals and attending training programmes.
Prof Abdur Raheem Kidwai, Director, UGC HRDC urged the participants to keep close to themselves the lessons of togetherness and harmony they had learnt during the course.
Meanwhile, congratulating the participants on successfully completing the programme, Dr Faiza Abbasi said that it is a pleasure to work and learn with such groups with diverse backgrounds of academic disciplines and ethnicities.
While giving feedbacks, Ms Poornima Gogoi from Assam and Dr Fateh Singh, from Mainpuri expressed satisfaction at the course delivery. They added that they were grateful for the exceptional hospitality and warmth extended by the staff of HRDC.
