Training programme concludes
ALIGARH: The Vice Chancellor of the Aligarh Muslim University, Lt. Gen. Zameer Udddin Shah today distributed certificates to 65 participants and the resource persons of the week long training programme on â€œSmart Grid Technologiesâ€ organized by the department of Electrical Engineering.
Speaking at the concluding ceremony, the Vice Chancellor said that the theme of the programme is in line with the vision of making the university a green campus by efficient use of energy conservation and solar power generation. He congratulated the coordinator of the programme and expressed hope that the training programme will provide an impetus to better research in the area of smart grid in the university.
Dr. Rihan, Coordinator of the programme said that Smart Grid is the name given to the power grid of the future in which all the recent developments in the field of sensing, computation and control are utilized to make it more efficient, reliable, economical and environment friendly.
