Tarique, Sabiha and Arisha win Stamp Design Competition
Aligarh: Tarique Ahmad Khan, Sabiha Jameel and Arisha Fatima have got first, second and third prizes respectively in the â€˜Stamp Design Competitionâ€™ organized by Aligarh Muslim University as part of Sir Syedâ€™s Bi-centenary celebrations.
Dr Juhi Gupta, Assistant Professor, Centre for Womenâ€™s Studies, AMU and Coordinator, Stamp Design Competition, who is also a member of Sir Syedâ€™s Bi-centenary celebration, informed that Tarique Ahmad is a student of BE (Electrical) whereas Sabiha Jameel is pursuing PhD (Fine Arts) and Arisha Fatima is studying B Sc (Zoology) at AMU.
She further informed that the awards carry cash prizes of Rs 10,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 respectively and the winning entries have been selected at a meeting of the Jury members appointed by the Vice Chancellor. The prizes will be awarded to the winners on the occasion of Sir Syed Day, 2016, she added.
