STS High School makes university proud, wins All India Roller Skating Championship

Aligarh: The STS High School, Aligarh Muslim University team have won the All India Roller Skating Championship by defeating the team from Jammu and Kashmir by 3-0. The first and second goal from the School was scored by Santosh GM and Naeemur Rahman respectively whereas Tarukh Mohsin (Captain) scored the third and the winning goal.

In the two-day Competition held at Two Rink Stadium, Mussoorie, the STS High School team defeated Noida by 17-0, Mussoorie by 7-0 and Jammu and Kashmir by 6-1 in three consecutive matches to reach the Semi-finals. The team reserved a place in the final match by defeating Mussoorie by 8-0. The team’s outstanding performance led to its win over Jammu and Kashmir in the final match.

Expressing gratitude over the success, Mr Faisal Nafees, Principal, STS High School congratulated the team members and said that the School students have a gallant history of delivering effective performances at the National as well as International levels. While wishing a bright future to the students, he said the success came as a result of the untiring efforts of the students as well as teachers.

Professor Mohd Rizwan Khan, the Manager of the School appreciated the efforts of the winning team members and encouraged them to work hard and bring more such laurels to the School as well as the University.
