SRC in Environmental Studies and Summer School conclude at UGC HRDC
Aligarh, August 19: The Subject Refresher Course (SRC) in Environmental Studies and Special Summer School on the theme of Human Rights concluded at the UGC Human Resource Development Centre, Aligarh Muslim University.
Professor Sibghatullah Farooqi, Dean, Faculty of Commerce, while addressing the Valedictory function, said that learning is a life-long process, which when stopped makes a person old and retired. He added that the constant pursuit of knowledge and patience should be the key attributes of a good teacher.
Professor A R Kidwai, Director, UGC HRDC, AMU wished all the participants a very bright future. He stressed that values of nationalism, inclusive community and empathy should be blended with the process of dissemination of knowledge in the higher education system.
Professor A P Vijapur, Department of Political Science, AMU and Course coordinator of Special Summer School in Human Rights as well as Dr Arshad Hussain, Civil Engineering Section, University Polytechnic (Boys) and Course coordinator of SRC Environmental Studies facilitated the certificate distribution.
Dr Beenam Saxena, Bareilly, Ms Moni Deepa Boruah, Golaghat, Assam and Mr. Imadur Rahman Khan, Department of Architecture, AMU gave their feedback opinion whereas the residential participants expressed satisfaction over the hospitality experienced by them and their upkeep at AMU.
Dr Faiza Abbasi, Assistant Professor, UGC HRDC conducted the program and introduced the guests. She informed that around 100 University and College teachers had enrolled for these three week residential courses with participants from Assam, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tripura, UP as well as Uttarakhand.
