Spain and Italy are going to face each other in the second semifinals of the Confederations Cup 2013. Whoever wins in the match will have to take on an unbeaten team in the tournament thus far, Brazil. The hosts defeated their arch rivals from the region Uruguay 2-1 after a very tough match.

Brazil vs Uruguay semi-final was very interesting for soccer fans across the world as both sides fought with all the energy they had preserved from the previous outings. Till just before halftime during the first semi-final match it were Uruguay who were dominating the match. But then Brazil woke up from slumber and then there was no looking back. Though Uruguay too were able to come with a scintillating goal against the hosts, they were simply outclassed by Brazil.

Now Brazil are awaiting the winner of the Spain vs Italy second semi-final winner to take on in the final. Though Italy doesn’t seem to have any chance against a formidable Spain, but in a soccer game we have seen many improbable upsets. And to be true Italy in neither Tahiti or Nigeria. It is a formidable team in its own and has shown its worth on many occasions in the past.

There is no doubt that in the world of soccer there is no real competition against Spain. They are the number one, champions of FIFA Soccer World Cup and also Euro Cup. They have beaten almost everyone with unprecedented ease and now they are ready to take on Italy once again. An analyst while talking about the competition that Spain face and their top class soccer abilities says, “In fairness to Cesare Prandelli’s side, it’s unclear anybody in the world can go toe-to-toe with Vicente del Bosque’s armada. Since shaking the monkey off their back in 2008, Spain’s swagger’s matched their talent, with only two teams able to meaningfully compete with the Spanairds without resorting to the sit-and-wait model. In 2010, Bert van Maarwijk’s Dutch side chose a deplorably cynical approach in taking Spain to extra time in South Africa, while Portugal may have legitimately outplayed the Furia Roja in the semifinals of last summer’s European Championships”. Now there is no doubt that Spain are well prepared to take on the third and final major international soccer title before the beginning of the soccer world cup.

They are in the top form. But they have still two very formidable teams ready to spoil their dreams. First it is Italy. And if they overcome them, then they will have to take on Brazil in the finals and Brazil are in impeccable form and a very defiant note. One thing is sure Brazil vs Spain final will be a hell lot of exciting game. Let’s wait what transpires later today.
