Jezz Bezos’ Blue Origin lands reusable rocket successfully

This is something that many thought was impossible. Despite many efforts, putting back the reusable rocket back on to the ground gently seemed impossible. But now there is a hope. To be true, it is not just a hope but rather a reality.

Blue Origin, a private space company has said that it was able to land a rocket upright in completely unharmed condition. The private space company that was made on the lines of SpaceX is backed and funded by billionaire Jeff Bezos. Experts are claiming that the feat is incomparable in commercial aeronautics.

Thus far the rockets once used are discarded. But things will completely change with the reusable rockets as the cost of space exploration will go down substantially. Elon Musk’s SpaceX has been trying to do the same, but till now its efforts have flopped.

Jeff Bezos who is also the CEO and promoter of Amazon.com felt very excited with the miracle that his company has been able to do. In the meantime Blue Origin said the unmanned flight took place Monday morning at its site in Van Horn, Texas.

Blue Origin’s latest vehicle consists of a capsule that is designed to take people into space for suborbital flights someday, and a booster. In Monday’s flight, the booster soared about 62 miles high and released the capsule, which parachuted to the ground. Following the separation, the booster began falling back to Earth. It slowed its descent by firing its engine, starting at about 4,900 feet above ground. It was descending at just 4.4 mph when it touched down at the launch site, still standing up, the company said. This is simply a huge achievement.
