Sony Xperia Tablet Z review are all praise for it. The tab comes with 10.1-inch LED display, 1.5GHz Krait CPU and other great traits. One of its great feature is its being water/dust-proof

The Xperia Z flagship smartphone has been the showpiece of the CES in Las Vegas. Along with its sibling the Xperia ZL, the device has received huge frenzy at the trade fair. But, at the MWC 2013 in Barcelona, Sony’s new Xperia Tablet Z has been the star. The 10.1-inch Android tablet from the Japan tech firm has really stunned the tablet and Android fans. It is such a wonderful device with wealthy innards.

The Xperia ZL, which is yet to be released in stores, has also been on display at the world’s largest mobile trade show. Here we make a rundown to the key features and specs of the Xperia Tablet Z. The device is likely to lift up stiff threat to the current 10.1-inch tablets like Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, Apple iPad and Microsoft Surface RT and Pro.

Display Screen: The new Sony tablet is to come up with a 10.1-inch LED-backlit LCD display that packs a resolution of 1200×1920 pixels at 224-ppi. The multitouch display can support up to 10 fingers at a time. Similar to the Xperia Z handset, its tablet version also comes with shatter-proof and scratch-resistant glass. And, it also makes use of Sony’s innovative Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology for good clarity.

Processor, Power: The tablet PC is to come with a highly powerful CPU and chipset. It draws power from a quad core 1.5GHz Krait CPU that packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 chipset. It also features 2GB of RAM and Adreno 320 graphical processor for neat performance. Indeed, the Tablet Z can strongly vie with the Note 10.1 and Apple iPad 5 with these specs onboard.

Software: Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean is the software that is to run the tablet out of the box. It can be upgraded to the most recent Android 4.2 Jelly Bean when it is available for devices other than the Google Nexus gadgets. Of course, the 4.1.2 is wonderful with many incredible features that include Project Butter, Google Now, S Beam and more. It has a cute interface as well.

Connectivity: Well, the Sony tablet has two variants; Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi 4G LTE combo. The cellular model features options like GPRS (up to 107 kbps), EDGE (up to 296 kbps), HSDPA, HSUPA and 4G LTE. In common, both the devices have Wi-Fi, dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and microUSB 2.0 (MHL) port.

Camera: Unlike most of its rivals, the Xperia Tablet Z mounts an 8.1MP rear camera with autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus and HDR. It can take video at 1080p@30fps with HDR quality. The front camera of the tablet touts a 2.2MP sensor that can also record video at 1080p@30fps. Most of the tablet PCs have either skipped the rear camera or decreased its capacity since consumers mostly don’t rely on tablet for taking pics.

Battery: The tablet packs a non-removable Li-Po 6000mAh battery that can provide a battery life of up to 10 hours for video playback. Music playback of the machine is above 100 hours and in standby it will remain active for 1230 hours on (2G and up to 1270 hours on 3G networks.

Conclusion
The most amazing thing with the Sony tablet is that it is both water and dustproof like its phone version the Xperia Z. It is IP57 certified and so that it can prevent damages in case it plunges to water for some minutes. The device is likely to roll out for a price of around $500 in global markets. Sony is yet to expose the exact release date of the tablet that may raise critical threat to iPad and a number of Android tablets in the same size category.
