Sirmour BJP President Election on 5th January

Sirmour BJP President Election on 5th January

Nahan: After the month long activities for the organizational polls the BJP has been reached in the final stage to elect the new district president of the party. Divided in two camps in the district BJP would elect the new president of the party on 5th January at Paonta Sahib. BJP has been concentrated on the Chief parliamentary secretary and Paonta Sahib MLA Sukh Ram Chauhdry as other camp of the party has stopped the interference in the organization poll of the new district president. Interestingly Chaudhary camp itself has been divided in two camps as two supporters of the Chaudhary have claimed the post. Just one day before the election Baldeav Tomar and Devinder Aggrawal seems to be in the fray for the post, whereas close associate of Chander Mohan Thakur, chairman state cooperative bank, Chakardhar Bhandari was also seems to be the aspirant of the post. The election of five blocks of the BJP was completed few days back in which the election of Nahan block had created controversy among the party workers. Paonta Sahib MLA camp wanted to conduct the election at Kolar whereas other camp of Shayma Sharma had claimed that there was no information about the election to be conducted at Kolar. Sharma camp had not participated in the election at Kolar. On the other hand despite the directions of the high command to conduct the election unanimously the president of Renuka block was decided by the voting. Political observers said that though the BJP has not tried to make the balance among the party leader so in near future the rift would be intensify in the district which would  impact on the ensuing polls of panchayti raj and urban bodies in the last month of this year. Party sources said that it was not right decision to give full command to Sukh Ram Chaudhary in the organizational polls, which have increased the distance among the BJP leaders in the district. On the other hand District media in charge of the party Rakeash Garg said that the election would be conducted on 5th January at Paonta sahib. He claimed that election would be conducted unanimously and also refuted any rift among the party leader.
