There is a new topic trending on the Twitter: slapgate, and it involves none other than the self proclaimed king of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. The other person involved in the slapgate is Farah Khan’s husband Shrish Kunder.
The incident took place at the bash thrown by Sanjay Dutt to celebrate the blockbuster opening of his film Agneepath.
Shah Rukh Khan slapped, and then perhaps punched Kunder for dissing Ra.One on Twitter, but accounts differ as to how that came to be. One version has it that Kunder who was visibly inebriated after too much drinking was following SRK around, even entering the men’s toilet behind him. So SRK pinned him down on a sofa and then slapped and punched him.
Another version says that Kunder has once again been dissing Ra.One at the party, when SRK entered after hosting the Filmfare award show with Ranbir Kapoor, he immediately accosted Kunder, and then as the matter got heated, he slapped Kunder.
Then there is another version being floated by the Farah Khan and Kunder camp. The attack was entirely unprovoked. The Khan walked in, saw Kunder, and then just walked up and slapped him. Contesting that version is the Khan’s version, as told to NDTV. The attack did not take place at all. What happened was merely a heated discussion. There was disagreement, but no assault.
The rumor mills have added additional masala to the episode. Sanjay Dutt had to intervene to stop the brawl. Sanjay Dutt himself slapped Kunder who had been misbehaving with guests.
Shah Rukh threatened to ‘destroy’ Kunder and Farah.
Remember it is all rumors.
Once upon a time when the Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om were in the works, the Khan and Farah used to be great buddies. The love included Kunder, who worked as editor on the two movies. But then when Farah took Akshay Kumar in Tees Maar Khan, and Shah Rukh refused to work on Joker, Kunder’s new film, there was a falling out.
Kunder took to Twitter when Ra.One came, dissing the film. The rest is history.
Farah gave a statement: “Shahrukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way to sort out a problem, and that it means the person who’s hitting has either a personal or professional crisis going on. So it saddens me to see him doing the same,”
Kunder tweeted: “Thanks for all your concern & wishes. We are very grateful. Contrary to rumours, we have no intention of filing a FIR or police complaint.”
Shah Rukh Khan tweeted: Another long nite. Shooting for a public service msg film. Feels ironic when I read & see what is being said.†Â
