Samsung Tizen Z2 and Tizen global handsets with better specs coming: Z2 India launch mid-2015Â
Samsung had launched its first Tizen smartphone in the Indian market a few months ago. Despite the handset being inexpensive it failed to enthuse the people in the country. but now there are reports that the Korean tech giant is all set to launch not one but two new Tizen smartphones in the market.
And if you are a Tizen smartphone lover you will be happy to know that the company has also lowered the price of the existing and the only Taizen handset in India namely Z1.
The first smartphone based on Tiazen operating system was an entry level handset. But the new handsets may be mid-range and may be able to compete with Android handsets in a far better way than the existing Z1 from Samsung.
In the last just over three months Samsung has been able to sell as many as 100,000 units of Z1 in the Indian market. Now a report from Tizenexperts blog on Monday claims that the South Korean company is developing the Tizen-based successor to the Z1 – the Samsung Z2 – and another ‘unnamed’ Tizen smartphone for the global market.
The next version of the Z1 that will reportedly be called Z2 is expected to be launched in the market before July 2015. As far as the other Taizen based smartphone is concerned, there is no definite time-frame for the ‘unnamed’ global handset. Reports suggest that this handset may be launched in US, China, Europe, France, Korea etc.
As far as the new version of the regular Taizen handset is concerned, Z2 is all set to come with 32-bit quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM, 540×960 pixel resolution TFT-LCD display, a 2000mAh battery, and Tizen 3.0 UI.
On the other hand the global Tizen handset is expected to come with 4.8-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) Super Amoled S-Stripe RGB display, 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera, and a much powerful 2600mAh battery.
