Both are among the best handsets ever launched in the market. Samsung Galaxy S4 vs HTC One competition is intensifying with one HTC executive claiming that S4 lacks build quality

A huge battle is to prop up in Android mobile market this year between the new flasghips of two archrivals Samsung and HTC. Samsung Galaxy S 4 Vs HTC One battle may shake the entire mobile market. Soon after the official release of the Galaxy S4, HTC has raised an open challenge to the Korean tech maker by stating that its flagship is seriously weak in build quality. It is made of plastic and is feeble to withstand tough usage, HTC’s Chief Marketing Officer Benjamin Ho has argued.

“With a continuation of a plastic body and a larger screen being the most obvious physical change, Samsung’s new Galaxy pales in comparison to the all-aluminum unibody HTC One. This is more of the same,” Benjamin said. Indeed, at a single glance at those devices, especially their rear parts, you can feel the difference in body  quality. The One is made of all-aluminum unibody, while the S4 is up with a rather fragile plastic casing.

“HTC remains the best option for those people looking for the best technology wrapped in premium design. Our customers want something different from the mainstream, who appear to be the target for the Galaxy,” the HTC executive has added. Here we find some time to compare the Galaxy S4 versus HTC One.

Display: Larger 1080p FullHD display is a leading factor that makes the HTC One and Galaxy S4 special in markets. Put against an array of similar gadgets from other tech makers, the Galaxy S4 and One, however, have something special in many aspects. But, here let us compare their display screens. Both the devices have bigger FullHD screens with different technologies.

Indeed, Super AMOLED 1080p display of Galaxy S4 has grabbed more attention. The HTC One has a Super LCD display, which is a bit smaller at 4.7 inches, and so it offers a better pixel density of 469-ppi. Going through the early responses to the technologies, Samsung’s sAMOLED display, which was put on display at CES 2013, has received more fervor than the One’s LCD screen.

Processor: Samsung has brought some innovation under its cover as well. It integrates a more powerful 1.6GHz Exynos Octa core CPU. Samsung had put this processor also on display in its booth at CES 2013 and, as per reports, the company has now started to retail the chipset to other tech makers also.

Moreover, let us expect more powerful gadgets from Samsung with this processor. In the meantime, the HTC One is up with a quad core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.7GHz processor. Both the One and S4 have 2GB of RAM in common to back their powerful processors.

Firmware: It is where Samsung has a clear edge over its HTC rival as of now. The new Galaxy S phone is to roll out with the latest Android 4.2 JB out of the box. Well, it is the first regular Android device to get the software, which is now running only Google’s Nexus devices that include Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10.

The new Jelly Bean version has some incredible features including the facility for setting up multiple user profiles for different users in a family. The One, according to HTC, is to come preinstalled with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The device is, however, upgradable to the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Price & Availability: Samsung has made it clear that its new phone will be available with all major cellular carriers across the world. In the U.S., like its predecessors, the S4 will be available on almost all carriers that include Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint.

HTC is also planning to bring its new flagship on all popular carriers in the world following the market strategy always practiced by Samsung. Price of Galaxy S4 is not yet known; meanwhile, the One may come for a price around $600 SIM free.
