For many Samsung Galaxy S3 fans, it would be very disappointing to know that Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update on their handsets is still sometimes away

Only Google’s much talked about Nexus 4 has got Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update so far. The new firmware update makes the latest Google smart-phone among the best in the line of top Android handsets and gives it a sure edge over other smart-phones available in the market. Other high-end smart-phones available in the market are still awaiting the update to come.

Samsung Galaxy S3, the highest selling Android smart-phone owners are anxiously awaiting the launch of the firmware update on their handsets. But it seems that they will have to wait a couple of more weeks before it actually lands on their handsets.

So far Samsung has sold more than 40 million handsets of its flagship handset Galaxy S3 and its owners want and deservedly so any new Android firmware update to come fastest. But so far that hasn’t been the case. But reports suggest that Android 4.2 may be very close to land on it compared to other Android handsets. The 4.2 version of the Android Jelly Bean is the latest and apparently most improved version of Google’s much used operating system. Samsung Galaxy S3 owners across the globe expect the update to bring many new features in Android operating system to their handset making it all the more useful for them.

The new firmware update comes with many new features including Lock screen widgets. The new update makes it possible for smart phone users to add Gmail and Calendar preview widgets to their lock screen, among others. You’ll also be able to launch the camera app with a single swipe after waking up your device. To be true, these features make it all the more enchanting. Another great feature of the update is its enhanced and very improved photo editing. In previous versions it was difficult to edit photo and then getting back to original photo was all but impossible. But With Android 4.2 it only takes a simple gesture to reveal the original photo without losing any of the edits you’ve made, saving you from heartburn for the loss from original photo. These great features have made the Galaxy S3 users all the more desirous to get it at the earliest.

whoa… ‘Only Google’s much talked about Nexus 4 has got Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update’.

sorry but the unlocked HPSA+ Galaxy Nexus purchased direct from GOOG has had v4.2.1 since late 2012.

to stay on top of GOOG’s updates, buy direct from them to ensure future updates for your official Google phone. for example, i believe the Nexus4 has 2GB RAM to ensure its capable to run Key Lime Pie (version 5???).

custom skins (like touchwiz, motoblur, Sense) delay the update/upgrade process.
