In view of the latest rumors pouring in from the world of Bollywood, the one question that is lurking in everyones mind is whether Aamir and Salman re-unite to recreate the magic of Andaz Apna Apna, a blockbuster comedy film released 19 years ago.

The two friendly Khans, Aamir and Salman had played the characters of Amar and Prem respectively. Karishma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon had played the female leads opposite the two stars. It is notable that following its release the film had tanled at the box office. However with the positive reviews coming in from the cine-goers along with the word of mouth publicity the film went on to become a top grosser of that time.

With its sequel already being announced by filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi, it remains a mystery whether the two would be uniting once again or not.  The shooting for the sequal is slated to begin by the third week of December, after Santoshi wraps up “Phata Poster Nikla Hero” which stars Shahid Kapoor.

The producer of the film Vinay Kumar said: “We will be discussing the project with Aamir and Salman. It would be great if that works out. Otherwise, we’ll sign up some other actors to play the lead.”

Speaking about the idea behind making a sequel of the top grosser, Kumar said: “People were asking me to do a sequel ever since the film became a hit. At that time, I was not too sure, if the Indian audience is ready for a second part. But, now the time is ripe. Remakes and sequels are in vogue. ”

The chances of the Salman and Aamir reuniting on the big screen are quite as both of them are on very good terms with each other. Also, Aamir on several instances expressed his desire to work with his good friend Salman.

In fact recently, Aaamir has said that he wished Salman was part of the title song in “Bombay Talkies” along with him, which Salman had refused to do since it featured his long-time rival Shahrukh Khan.
