Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School Students bring laurels

Aligarh: Aligarh Muslim University’s Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School boys brought laurels after excelling in recently held National Level Science Talent Search Examination, National Science Olympiad and International Mathematics Olympiad.

Class XI and XII students won at least seven Gold Medals while three Silver and three Bronze Medals were won by our students at the National Science Olympiad and International Mathematics Olympiad, said the principal of Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School, Major S M Mustafa (Retd).

Class XII students of Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School, Divyanshu Gupta and Prashant Kumar Chaudhary won Gold Medals in the National Science Olympiad and International Mathematics Olympiad respectively. Gupta also won a Silver Medal in the International Mathematics Olympiad. sayyid Hamid

AMU Senior Secondary School Class XI students, Chandan Mittal and Sagar Chaudhary won Gold Medals in both National Science Olympiad and International Mathematics Olympiad with Chaudhary winning cash reward of Rs 1000 for winning the Gold Medal of Excellence in National Science Olympiad. Aditya Singh also won a Gold Medal in the National Science Olympiad.

Vikash Baghel of Class XI won Silver and Bronze Medals in the National Science Olympiad and International Mathematics Olympiad while Class XI student Abhishek Varshney won the Silver Medal in the International Mathematics Olympiad.

Gajraj Sharma won the Bronze Medal in the International Mathematics Olympiad for Class XII students and Yogendra Kumar Singh won the Bronze Medal in the National Science Olympiad for Class XI category.

Meanwhile in the National Level Science Talent Search Examination, Class XI (PCB) students Kartik Varshney and S Aun Ali Mehdi were declared as National Achievers and Akash Varshney was give the ‘State 3rd Rank.’ Abhishek Varshney and Vivek Kumar of Class XI (PCM) were ranked first and second ‘class toppers’ in the Class XI category.

Nipoon Gupta, Abbas Ali and Rohit Dhanraj of Class XII (PCM) were ranked first, second and third ‘class toppers’ respectively in the National Level Science Talent Search Examination.

AMU Class IX students Ashesh Singh, Vishal Singh and Urooj Ahmad were ranked first, second and third ‘class toppers’ respectively in the class IX category of National Level Science Talent Search Examination.

Ahmad Uzair and Abdul Hannan sored grades above B+ and qualified for the next level in ‘All India Talent Search Examination’ (AITS 2014) organized by Children’s Education Trust, New Delhi, confirmed Dr Yogesh Kumar Agarwal.
