Peyton Manning accused of doping: Everything you need to know about it

The report is nothing short of a bombshell and may impact many top players across the US. Al Jazeera America is all set to come out with a report on doping that may badly impact the career of many NFL and MLB stars. Besides, the report also names a couple of Olympic players who the report blames were involved in doping.

One of people whose name allegedly appears in the Al Jazeera America report is Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning. The report titled “The Dark Side,” is going to be aired on Sunday.

One of the leading NFL players Peyton Manning’s name appears very prominently in this report. Al Jazeera report alleges that Manning, among others, used human growth hormone. The Qatar based network’s key source is Charlie Sly, a pharmacist who formerly worked at an Indiana anti-aging clinic in 2011, when Manning was still with the Indianapolis Colts.

Peyton ManningThe report goes on to add that this pharmacist allegedly mailed HGH and other drugs to Manning’s wife, Ashley. Nonetheless Peyton Manning’s agent refused that the NFL star ever indulged in the HGH use, though he didn’t refute the deliveries to Ashley’s address.

Manning’s agent went on to add, Manning “has never done what this person is suggesting…The treatment he received at the Guyer Institute was provided on the advice of his physician and with the knowledge of team doctors and trainers…Any medical treatment received by Ashley is a private matter of hers, her doctor, and her family,” the agent said.

In the meantime a report in Huffington Post that got early peek in the report says, “The credibility of the report hinges largely on whether Sly should be believed, or whether he’s simply concocting stories to impress Collins. Several details lend significant credibility to Sly’s assertions…First, Sly and the ring he is associated with do, in fact, obtain drugs for Collins, which the network says it retained as evidence…In a stunning scene, Taylor Teagarden, an eight-year MLB veteran, appears in one of the undercover videos, openly discussing his use of performance-enhancing drugs during the previous season”.
