Orientation Stress Management Program Organized

Aligarh: The four weeks Orientation Programme for over 85 partcipanting academicians of various universities and colleges from all over India and the one week Short Term Course in Stress Management for AMU Faculty and research scholars concluded at the UGC Academic Staff College, AMU.

The Chief Guest, Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor, Lt General Zameer Uddin Shah (retd) urged teachers to avoid stress by keeping their minds free from clutter and dedicate themselves to their students wholeheartedly.

General Shah expressed happiness to see participants from Assam, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh coming to the Academic Staff College to live and learn under the secular traditions of AMU. He also urged participants to become AMU ambassadors in their respective places.

Professor Abdur Raheem Kidwai, Director, UGC ASC, AMU said that the biggest achievement of the ASC courses is the promulgation and propagation of the values of national integration.

Prof Kidwai expressed oneness with the Vice Chancellor’s sincere initiatives to further the mission of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan.

AMU Vice Chancellor, General Shah’s wife Mrs Sabiha Simi Shah, presented certificates to the participants of OP and STC Stress Management courses coordinated by Prof Akbar Hussain, Department of Psychology, AMU. Mrs Shah congratulated the partcipants on their success and wished the best for future.amu soft skill

On the occasion, General Shah also felicitated Afghan teachers Mrs Nasima Hassanzada and Mr Sayd Fayeq of Herat Teaching Training College and Mrs Zebonnesa and Mrs Nafisa of Gohwarshaad High School, Afghanistan. These teachers are currently pursuing a month long teacher training programme at the UGC ASC, AMU.

Mr Md Alif Agauddin, Udalguri and Dr Kakali Borah, Golaghat, Assam delivered feedback speeches from the Course Participants. They said that they learnt lessons for becoming good teachers in all sessions of the Orientation Programme.

Mrs Naseema Hassanzada said that the Afghan teachers look forward to learning from their course and feel fortunate about being at the world famous Aligarh Muslim University.

Dr Belal Ahmad Asst. Professor, Amraz-e-Jild wa Zohrawiya, Hakim Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College (AKTC) and Dr Saba Khan Asst Professor, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Z A Dental College, welcomed the guests on behalf of the Academic Staff College.

Dr Mohammad Hayat Amir, Department of Philosophy, AMU and Dr Sanjeev Kumar, Auraiya presented the Souvenir from OP Participants to the Academic Staff College.

Dr. Faiza Abbasi, Asst Prof, UGC ASC, AMU facilitated the programme.
