Aligarh: Aligarh Muslim University will conduct admission tests for admissions in Ph.D programs from August 6 to August 10, while the declaration of results will take place from August 14 to August 19. The last date for submission of PDF generated copy of the application form for Indian nationals is July 16 while the last date for online application form and submission of PDF generated copy for foreign nationals is July 22 and 27 respectively.

The Office of the Controller of Examinations, Aligarh Muslim University in a recently released, revised schedule for admissions in Ph.D courses for the 2015-16 session has declared July 11 as the last date for submission of online application form for Indian nationals. The admissions forms for Ph.D courses were made available on the AMU website on June 12.

Deputy Controller (Admissions), Mr Salman Siddique said that the university will upload the list of eligible candidates for appearing in the Ph.D admission tests on July 26. He also confirmed that the Ph.D tests of various departments will take place from August 6 to August 10, while the declaration of results will take place from August 14 to August 19.
“The Ph.D admission tests for Agricultural Sciences, Law and Theology will take place on August 6 while the tests for Commerce and Medicine will take place on August 7,” said Mr Salman Siddique. He further confirmed August 8 as the date for Ph.D admission tests for Engineering and Life Sciences.

Mr Salman Siddique also confirmed that the Ph.D Admission Tests of Management Studies and Social Sciences will take place on August 9 while the tests Science, Interdisciplinary Biotechnology Unit and Arts will be on August 10.

“The venue of the admission tests will be notified on the admit card (hall ticket) and the all the tests will take place from 3: 00 pm to 5: 00 pm,” said the Deputy Controller (Admissions) who added that the eligible candidates may obtain their admit cards from the respective departments one or two days before the admission test.

“The Presentation-cum-interview dates will be notified in two phases by chairmen of various departments in between August 25-31 and September 1-5,” said Mr Salman Siddique.
He added that the convening of meetings of board of studies for recommending topics and supervisors will take place in between September 7 and 12. He also said that the CASR meeting for confirmation of admission or otherwise will take place from August 15 to August 20.
