Price of the Verizon-exclusive version of Nokia Lumia series, the Lumia 928 has been lowered to $29.99 on contract by Amazon. From its former price of $99, the device’s on-contract price has gone down in a possible move that is made for the arrival of the long rumored camera-centric Nokia EOS. The 928 is a special upgrade of the Nokia Windows Phone 8 flagship the Lumia 920 with an additional xenon flash.

The Lumia 928 was initially released in May 2013 with a price of $99 on a new two-year contract. As of now, the Nokia EOS premiere is coming near and it would have resulted in the price reduction of the device. However, the SIM free price tag of the device still stays at $499.99. There is no proof on whether the reduced price is for a limited period or permanent.

Meanwhile, rumor about the long-talked-about Nokia EOS is gaining extra momentum. It is most likely for release at the company’s next month press event in New York, which according to Nokia is to bring a device that has 41 million reasons for your waiting. It might be referring to the figure of the rear camera megapixels of the gadget, which is expected to be the next premium model of the series.

Nokia EOS is now almost confirmed to carry the same 41MP PureView camera of the company’s last year Symbian flagship the 808 PureView. If the rumor is true, it might be the world’s largest camera phone, but we can’t say it would produce the best pics or video for that reason; because, megapixel is not everything that will decide the quality of a camera.

Along with Lumia 928, Nokia has also announced a Lumia 925 advanced version for global markets. These two devices are now representing Nokia Windows Phone series, the Lumia. In fact, both the devices have almost the same specs and features of their predecessor the Lumia 920.
