Both are very different products, nonetheless Nokia Lumia 920 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 2 specs comparison makes very interesting reading

Nokia Lumia 920 and its other Windows Phone 8 siblings are going to be out in new markets including India and several other nations in the next few days and the Finnish giant must be praying for their success. It is an impressive handset that has got rave reviews across the world and people have very positive words to say about it.

It is notwithstanding the fact that Lumia 920 is rather weighty compared to other handsets of 4.3 inch or even 5 inch handsets. Nonetheless its users and reviewers have only good words about it. If someone needed any proof of it being a world class smart-phone its increasing sales in US and Europe besides of course in China is more than enough to prove it. This has changed the environment at Nokia from gloom to optimism and its market performance is enough proof of its great credentials.

But the handset is not going unchallenged. It is facing tough competition in almost every market from established market leaders including Apple’s iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S III and Samsung’s another great handset Galaxy Note 2. Here we try to compare it with Samsung Galaxy Note 2, the 5.5 inch phablet that comes with the best specs in the market. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is selling like never before. With recent upgrade, the phablet has become more like monster when it comes to power and performance. Undoubtedly, it is the best smart-phone in the garb of a phablet that provides a huge display to read, watch videos, write e-mails and accomplish many other functions.

Korean tech giant has improved its phablet in several ways. Its S-Pen that was laughed at initially, is also a great performer and has come with tremendous improvement in its new avatar where it makes things a lot easier for you and help you jot down small notes while you are still on a call. You don’t need to bother with searching a piece of paper and a pen to write down another number or info while on a call from a business partner or from your boss. On the other hand, the just released Nokia 920 comes with a great operating system in Windows Phone S that is infinitely better than its previous avatar Windows 7.5 and makes life easy for you. Though it doesn’t come with a huge body like Note 2, nevertheless its 4.5 inch display is full.5 inch bigger than that of the best selling Apple’s iPhone 5 and so doesn’t look small and accomplishes everything that a smart-phone could do.

The two handsets are very different in shape and size. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2 comes with a bit larger screen than its predecessor. With its 5.5-inch display, it is now the world’s largest handset with the dimensions of 151.1 x 80.5 x 9.4mm. It weighs at 180 grams. Indeed, Samsung has prepared the device to satisfy the requirements of users, who want a large device for making calls, surfing web, playing game and others. In spite of sporting a smaller 4.5-inch display, the Lumia 920 is thicker and weightier than the Note 2. The device measures at 130.3 x 70.8 x 10.7 mm and it weighs at 185 grams. To be true, the quality of display is improving by leaps and bounds. The second generation Galaxy Note features a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. For better image clarity, the device shows off a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels at 267 ppi. It is secured against scratches with the Corning’s Gorilla Glass 2 technology. Of course, you have Samsung’s Android interface TouchWiz UI on the handset. Compared to it Lumia 920comes with a very impressive a 4.5-inch IPS TFT touchscreen. It has a fine screen resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels at 332 ppi and it touts PureMotion HD+ display. In clarity, Lumia 920 certainly outdoes the Note 2 with its better resolution and pixel rate. Further, the phone can show you the content perfectly even in sunlight thanks to Nokia’s advanced ClearBlack technology. The device is also safe against scratches with the Corning’s Gorilla Glass.

Both the phablet and the Lumia 920 come loaded with very powerful processors. The Galaxy Note 2 comes with a highly powerful 1.6GHz quad core processor that encloses Samsung’s new Exynos 4412 Quad chipset.  It is indeed one of the distinguished features of the handset. For additional capacity, the 920 has 2GB of RAM and Mali-400MP graphical processor. The device comes in three memory capacities; 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Plus, it sports a microSD slot for memory sticks up to 32GB capacity. On the other hand, the new Nokia handset only has a dual core CPU. Nokia has slotted in a 1.5GHz Krait processor with Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon chipset. The phone shows off 1GB of RAM and Adreno 225 graphical processor. It comes only in 32GB version, with no microSD slot for memory expansion, though. So here Galaxy Note seems to be a lot more power than Lumia 920. To be true it is the most powerful phone right now in the market.
