CES 2012 is making waves. It has seen the launch of a number of products and many more are in pipeline. From tablets to smart phones, ultrabooks and netbooks, CES 2012 has seen them all. Nokia Lumia 900 is among the handful of smart phones that have been introduced in the biggest technology show by Finnish mobile giant Nokia. And since its release, the hyped up smart phone is making headlines across the world.

Though Nokia is not known to produce top class smart phones. But in recent months it has been trying its best to improve the market perception about it by launching good quality smart phone with reasonably good specifications.

The market has seen the launch of big screen smart phones. Though it is not among the biggest, it comes with reasonably good screen size. It comes with a rather huge 4.3 AMOLED screen besides 1.4GHz processor. Regarding the design on the device itself it is just a bigger Lumia 800, keeping the same design and button layout out. The only current differences regarding design were the current Lumia 800 push & click for access to the device & Micro Sim have changed into a iPhone style pin push access to the Sim card and no cover to the Micro USB.

Though Apple iPhone 4S comes with comparatively small 3.5-inch screen, iPhone 4S has a superb LED-backlit IPS TFT capacitive Retina Display. It offers 640 x 960 pixels, multitouch capabilities, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass and many others. On the other hand Nokia Lumia 900 comes with a 4.3-inch 800 x 480 pixels Super AMOLED Plus capacitive ClearBlack touch-screen. It also sports Corning Gorilla Glass to make it more secure. It comes with dimensions of 127.8 x 68.5 x 11.5 mm and weighs 160g.

As far as operating system is concerned, iPhone 4S is the first device to get iOS 5. Apple iOS 5 comes with innumerable great features like iCloud cloud computing, Siri voice recognition, iMessage, Notification Center and countless others. Nokia’s Lumia 900 will arrive in the market with Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. It will come preloaded with one-touch social networking sites access. Besides it will come preloaded with Internet Explorer 9

As far as processor and RAM is concerned, Apple iPhone 4S comes equipped with a dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 that has Apple’s much-acclaimed A5 chipset and 512 MB of RAM. With A5 chip, iPhone 4S is certainly one of the world’s best-performing smartphones. On the other hand Nokia Lumia 900 comes with a 1.4 GHz Scorpion processor. Like iPhone 4S, it also has 512MB RAM.

As far as camera is concerned, Apple iPhone 4S camera has hogged limelight like no other smart phone camera. Many people have started using it as their main camera and have stopped carrying digital cameras as it fulfills almost all their needs. iPhone 4S features an 8-megapixel camera with 3264 x 2448 pixels, LED flash, autofocus, touch focus, face detection, geo-tagging and HDR. Cupertino based tech giant’s iPhone used to be bad when it came to battery life, but thankfully that seems to have changed since Apple iPhone 4. Apple uses similar battery in the iPhone 4S.

But there have been several complaints about iPhone 4S battery life. A reader while talking about the problem says, “My iPhone 4s battery seems terrible! Almost equivalent to my 3GS and it’s terrible battery life. When I got my iPhone yesterday and restored from backup I noticed nothing really changed with minimal usage and standby! Is this normal or should I consider setting it up as a new phone because maybe something is running in the background that’s causing it to drop a percentage every few minutes under light usage?” on the other hand Nokia Lumia 900 comes with Li-Ion 1830 mAh (BP-6EW) battery that gives up to 8 hours of talk time and around 60 hours of music. This is going to be loved by its users in the days to come.

    1. Lumia 900 1.4GHZ processor is good enough to perform faster. I also like the other features too especially its unique design.

    2. IPHONE is the best no one can ever imagine to defeat it not at all in this is the worst company that produces third class products its phones are thron on the road it the worst company and it also pollutes environment

    3. Yes, whilst the latest iphone is indeed beautiful as much as it is adequate, surely we must all acknowledge that NOKIA handsets have always outlasted others in durability! So if you’re one of the millions of NOKIA handset owners, there’s no reason to jump ship with the death of Symbian. LUMIA 900 is offering everything you will need, for the next season at least. Plus it’s a very good looking piece of hardware.
