Both are going to be winning products for the Finnish giants. Nokia EOS 38MP PureView phone and Windows RT tablet finally head for MWC 2013

Nokia 808 PureView is the world’s best cameraphone. It is up with a huge 41MP PureView-branded rear camera. But, the handset that came to life in Feb. 2012 is running Nokia’s Belle OS. The Finnish mobile firm, majorly being a Windows Phone hardware maker, is reportedly going to launch a Windows Phone 8 handset with a massive PureView camera. Well, the current WP 8 flagship phone the Lumia 920 has an 8MP PureView camera. But, the rumored handset is likely to have a giant 38MP camera.

According to The Verge, the new Nokia phone is codenamed EOS. It is said to be built with aluminum, instead of the typical polycarbonate material. The phone is to feature the same camera sensor that you can see on 808 PureView, says reports. “Codenamed EOS, sources familiar with Nokia’s plans have revealed that the device will include a similar sensor that’s found on Nokia’s 808 PureView handset,” writes The Verge.

The new Nokia handset will possibly come to the U.S. via AT&T sometime this year. The phone is going to be “part of a fresh design cycle” of Nokia and it will get a completely new look and appearance, The Verge says. Along with the EOS phone, the company is also said to roll out an upgrade for Lumia 920 with an aluminum body. Plus, the company will also unveil its Windows RT-based tablet PC this year, the sources say. All the new devices may be on display at the Mobile World Congress 2013 in Spain.

Nokia as Windows Phone Maker
Nokia is a key developer of Windows Phone devices. Thanks to its official deal with Microsoft, the Finnish firm produces quality handsets. Nokia signed the contract with Microsoft early 2011 and it features a big variety of phones under its two lines of Lumia devices respectively for Windows Phone 7 Mango and Windows Phone 8 Apollo. The current flagship phone is Lumia 920, which is rich with features like wireless charging, Windows Phone 8 OS, larger display, 8MP PureView camera and more.

The rumored EOS may replace the 920 as the flagship phone. Most likely, it may have a big display, high performance processor, RAM and battery. Running on WP 8, the EOS will be one of the top phones with a heavy rear camera. Users with interest for photography will be lucky to get the phone. They can take this phone in their trips instead of digital cameras. Anyway, let us wait for a few more weeks for MWC in Barcelona to see the gadget, which may most likely be released at the event.

Windows RT Tablet
Meanwhile, Nokia is also to enter to tablet making for Windows OS. The firm’s first Windows tablet – Windows RT based – is also to be uncovered at the tech show. The Nokia tablet is said to have a 10.1-inch screen and it will take on Apple iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Note 10.1 and Google Nexus 10 in the tablet market. The device will obviously run on a high performance ARM chipset and other powerful innards.

Along with the tablet, like Surface RT, Nokia may also sell a special cover, reports say. The Nokia tablet cover, like the Touch Cover, will be able to protect the device; add an integrated keyboard and kickstand. “Nokia will release a special cover for the tablet that envelops it like a book. Clicking into place, the cover provides a keyboard and a kickstand for the tablet,” says The Verge.

Conclusion
Nokia is striving hard for a comeback to the fore of mobile market. Once it had been the world leader in mobile market. But, after iPhone and Android revolutions, Nokia lost its market share deeply. Samsung rules the market now – both in feature phone and smartphone segments. Well, Nokia hopes for a brave comeback through its fresh Windows line of products.
