Times Square ball drop liveThe whole world awaits the ball drop event in New York City. It is an old tradition, in fact hundred and eight year old. It started in the year 1907.

The New Year’s Eve 2016 Times Square Ball Drop was headlined by Jessie J performing “Imagine” by John Lennon. This is not all. The first performance was by the Sino-American Friendship Association Chinese Cultural Performance at 6:07, followed by a Good Riddance Day highlight package at 6:53. When it came to hosting the mammoth show CNN anchor Anderson Cooper hosted the hourly countdown of the Times Square Ball Drop beginning at 6:58 p.m. EST. The USO Show Troupe performed a military salute at 7:05. Jenny McCarthy took the stage at 7:23 for a “Judgment Free” event. The Times Square 2016 Webcast began at 5 p.m. CST on Dec. 31. The show was also streamed live on multiple websites.
