Apple Watch is all set to become a mammoth success. And if you actually wanted an evidence you should just see the numbers of the pre-orders that the company has received in a single day.

Within a day after being launched for pre-orders the beautiful smart watch from Cupertino based Apple has got as many as 1 million pre-orders.

You will be feeling more mesmerized by the power of Apple and its Apple Watch when you are told that all these pre-orders are from United States alone. The estimates that have been released by a very respected organization, Slice Intelligence.

apple watchThe company while trying to find exact pre-orders used e-receipt data concluded that in United States alone 957,000 people placed orders for an Apple Watch on the first day it became available.

The company also said that the new product is capable to make Apple more cash rich than it ever was. Slice Intelligence revealed that Apple Watch buyer ordered an average of 1.3 watches and spent an average of $503.83 per device.

The new Apple Watch is the first new product that the company has launched in a long time. There is no denying the fact that it is a dream gadget, though its real relevance is still not known. Apple Inc. is trading at a post seven-for-one-split of $127.10 a share. According to Piper Jaffray’s Gene Munster, they expect opening-weekend sales of one million units, and then modest sales of 2.3 million units for the current quarter.

Nonetheless the pre-order experience was not great for all the people trying to order it. Many customers of the watch got frustrated on Friday as delivery dates got pushed back beyond the originally promised April 24. Initial supply was sold out in the first 10-30 minutes depending on the model, Munster said.

Reports suggest that the people going for the watch were die-hard Apple fans. According to Slice Intelligence, among those who bought an Apple Watch, 72 percent had bought an Apple product in the last 2 years, and 21 percent preordered an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus just months ago. Some 62 percent of those preorders went for the less-expensive Sport model, with an average $382.83 spent. And many invested in a costlier case, but purchased the cheaper Black Sport Band.

The new device is going to further consolidate Apple’s position. There are signs of a strong start for preorders and Apple is set to sell all of its production volume for the first 3 months, according to Edward Yruma and the team at KeyBanc Capital Markets.
