NBA Trade Rumors 2016 news: New Orleans Pelicans to trade Eric Gordon for Ryan Anderson

Los Angeles: If rumors are to be believed, New Orleans Pelicans are planning to trade Eric Gordon over Ryan Anderson. This is something that has come as a shock to many fans of the New Orleans Pelicans.

This is because of the fact that despite not doing very well during the initial period, the New Orleans Pelicans did pretty well in recent weeks. They have won all of the last three matches that they have played, thus improving their record up to 16-27.

It must be kept in mind that right now they are currently just four games out of the eighth spot in the Western Conference. The Pelicans started the new season on a low note and this was the reason why they were involved in a bunch of trade rumors. Those trade rumors have slowed down after their good performance in the last few games but it is still possible that they could be active before the February 18th deadline. Ryan Anderson is a player the Pelicans have been getting a lot of calls about but they are more interested in trading Eric Gordon, Sam Amick of USA Today Sports reported.nba playoff 2015

Though the Pelicans have tasted success in the recent games they are still unhappy with how this season has gone so far and are planning to include some new faces in their roster. The Pelicans have few players with expiring contracts, including Gordon and Anderson, who could potentially move before the trade deadline.

There is no denying the fact that Anderson is attracting a lot of attention because he is one of the best stretch four’s in the league and his contract is up after this year so the Pelicans might be interested in trading him. The Pelicans are aware of the fact that they would find it tough to pay Anderson what he wants in free agency this summer so the best move for them is to trade Anderson as soon as possible.
