NBA Trade Rumors: Phoenix Suns’ Markieff Morris relegated to DNP-CD status on list
Things are looking exciting when it comes to NBA trade. Rumors suggest that Phoenix Suns may be looking forward to release Markieff Morris.
There is no denying the fact that Markieff Morris hasn’t been able to impress either his fans or the team management. But the same can be said about Phoenix Suns too.
The team seems to be on a slide and hasn’t been able to do well recently. Both initially had to work on their issues after the unexpected trade of Marcus Morris to the Detroit Pistons during the offseason. While all seems fine of late, rumors are once again circulating regarding a possible trade with the remaining Morris twin in the roster. Ryan McDonough of Morris in an interview with Arizona Sports 98.7 FM said, “Are we shopping him?”
While talking about the rumors doing the rounds, the Phoenix Suns general manager explained, “I wouldn’t necessarily say that, but we’re looking at whatever we can do to upgrade our team. The trade deadline is in late February. Despite our struggles, I think as we sit here today we’re one game out of the eight spot in the West, and I think we just went through the toughest part of our schedule and we were able to keep our head above water, so to speak.”
In the meantime a report in the SB Nation suggests that the New Orleans Pelicans could see the entry of Morris in their roster if they are ready to part with Ryan Anderson. As for the Houston Rockets, Marc Stein on ESPN said that the James Harden team suggested a possible trade with the Phoenix Suns. The possible entry of Morris into the Houston Rockets locker room might come with the departure of Terrence Jones in the roster, noted Stein.
