NBA Trade Rumors: Markieff Morris trade rumors with Rockets’ Terrence Jones being speculated
Reports about Phoenix Suns’ Markieff Morris’s trade is going viral at the moment. There are rumors doing the rounds that Suns’ Markieff Morris is headed for Rockets’.
For the last several days one player that seems to be high as far as NBA trade rumors are concerned is none other than Phoenix Suns’ Markieff Morris. There are rumors doing the rounds that he is likely headed to the Houston Rockets for a possible swap with Corey Brewer or Terrence Jones.
But there are several hitches involved in such rumors. Thus far there is no official word on Markieff Morris’ trade with some Rockets player. Brewer cannot be traded until January 15 as those free agents who are signed using Early Bird or Full Bird will only be eligible then. With the trade restriction from recently-signed free agents lifted last December 15, except for 28 players who are under the Early Bird and Full Bird deals mentioned above, NBA teams are expected to be busy dealing from then until this season’s February deadline is reached.
On the other hand there are reasons for his less than impressive show. The six foot nine inch Jones has been stagnant in Rockets’ rotation and his development as a premier offensive force is stalled as he has to play behind his more famous teammates such as Dwight Howard, James Harden and Ty Lawson. Moving to Phoenix in exchange for Morris would be good for Jones career and to the Suns’ future also.
On the other hand there are reasons to believe that Morris is slowly falling out with Suns head coach Jeff Hornacek as he gets less and less playing time and more DNP’s in the Arizona team’s past several games. With reports suggesting that Rockets and Suns are already in talks for a power forward swap, it is only a matter of time before this rumor becomes official. These rumors are still rumors and teams managements are yet to be speak out on the issue.
