NBA trade rumors 2015: Clippers’ Blake Griffin will he move to Orlando Magic or somewhere else
Los Angeles: Blake Griffin’s future with his current team seems to have become uncertain. While everyone seems to be interested in knowing as to where he is moving, the mystery is nowhere to be solved right now.
Nonetheless things will become very clear in the next one week as everything will be clear as black and white before the NBA trade deadline that falls on February 18.
Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin is reportedly a complete misfit in his current team. It must be kept in mind that tension has risen considerably following his recent run in with a team employee. Now there are reasons to believe that Griffin may be a trade candidate at next week’s deadline. The Orlando Magic is one team that could be making a call on the Clippers big man.
There is a near unanimity that if Blake Griffin is moving out of the Los Angeles Clippers, there may be many teams eager to get him onboard. Despite the distracting season that he has had this year, Griffin is still a star player in the NBA. He can consistently put up shots and grab rebounds in bunches. He has a career scoring average of 21.6 and a career rebounding average of 9.6.
Nonetheless till now there is no information on the actual trade that Magic general manager Rob Hennigan offered Clippers president Doc Rivers, but reports have stated that Tobias Harris is one of the key pieces in the transaction. Hennigan likes Harris, as evident by a $64 million contract that was signed, but he would be willing to move him if it means bringing Griffin to the Magic. In Harris, Rivers and the Clippers would have a talented player. He is a versatile player that can do a little bit of everything. He is someone that is willing to put the team ahead of himself, which means that he could be an ideal fit with DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul.
There are other similar rumors doing the rounds. Victor Oladipo has also been in a couple of NBA trade rumors, so he may have possibly been one of the 3 Magic players that were offered. Like Harris, Oladipo’s versatility makes him a perfect sixth man. Oladipo and Jamal Crawford can keep the Clippers in the game when JJ Redick and Chris Paul are taking a breather.
