NBA trade rumors update: Kevin Martin, Jamal Crawford may be traded by Clippers, Timberwolves, latest update

NBA trade rumors will not cease till the day arrived. It is still two months away. There is no denying the fact that from the top players to even non-performers, everyone seems to be a trade prospect at the moment.

If latest rumors doing the rounds are to be believed, then Clippers, Timberwolves may be looking to swap Kevin Martin and Jamal Crawford. The sort of problems that the two players are suffering in their current teams cannot really be solved if the two remain in their present sides.

In fact their performance will continue to be badly impacted if they remain in their present teams. This, in turn will also impact the performance of their respective teams.

There is no denying the fact that the LA Clippers and Minnesota Timberwolves would take on different paths as the Clippers have nearly gotten out of their funk and the Timberwolves are fast moving out of the contention for playoff. But all these teams have one thing in common: they have veteran shooters on the trading block. Jamal Crawford’s name has already been doing the rounds in NBA trade rumors and Kevin Martin of the T-Wolves has also been declared to be on the block.

It must be noted here that though there may be other problems confronting it, Minnesota has no dearth of money. Besides they have young players on the wing, with Andrew Wiggins, Zach Lavine and Shabazz Muhammad in the spotlight. The priority of the team is to develop these young players and give them more playing time. The youngsters are considered the future of the team and Martin seems to be a misfit. But Martin has some admirers, even on the opposing bench. ”You look at his numbers every year, very efficient offensive player,” Denver Nuggets coach Michael Malone said. ”He has the uncanny ability to draw contact and get to the line.” The words “efficient offensive player” is not the phrase to describe Clippers players Lance Stephenson and Josh Smith. Hence, Doc Rivers has the reason to get attracted to Martin. Canis Hoopus, a Minnesota Timberwolves fan site, has proposed to swap the two shooters. Martin and a Timberwolves 2016 2nd rounder for Jamal Crawford and guard CJ Wilcox.
