NBA Trade Rumors: Chicago Bulls’ Joakim Noah may be on his way outÂ
Rumors are doing the rounds that Chicago Bulls’ Joakim Noah is headed to either Celtics or Pacers. Though the team management is yet to speak a single word about his fate or his place in the team in the coming days, the way rumor mills are working overtimes make us believe that it is not just a harmless rumor.
There is no denying the fact that not many people are very amazed due to such rumors. Who wants to keep a non-performer in their side? There is no denying the fact that he has done extremely well in the past, but his performance in the current season leaves a lot to be desired.
There is no denying the fact that the 6 feet-11 inch tall Noah lost his starting spot to Nikola Mirotić during the 2015 pre-season. But after a quadruple overtime loss to the Detroit Pistons on December 18, starting center Pau Gasol did not travel to New York for the Bulls’ December 19 game against the Knicks. In his absence, Noah started in his first game of the season and subsequently scored a season-high 21 points. He also grabbed 10 rebounds in the game. But after this he suffered an injury and was ruled out for two to four weeks because of a slight tear that he suffered in the Bulls’ December 21 game against the Brooklyn Nets.
But it must be kept in mind that he has a great record to his credit and his performance went well with the team’s aggressive and offensive character. However, two recent changes have made Joakim Noah trade a possibility: the new Bulls coach and Noah’s deteriorating performance in games.
Despite lack of performance, there is no denying the fact that he is a prized player. His possible destinations include the Boston Celtics and the Indiana Pacers. The Celtics sees this as an unusual chance to get a star player in its roster. They may try to get hold of Noah in the hope of him getting back in shape and returning to his old power and form. Nonetheless things will become clear in this regard in coming weeks.
