NBA Trade Rumors: Houston Rockets’ Dwight Howard may go to Toronto Raptors
Rumors are doing the rounds that Dwight Howard is moving to Toronto Raptors. Though it is still not certain, but there are reports suggesting that he is trying to move out of the current contract.
The 30-year old player of Houston Rockets is reportedly feeling disenchanted with his current team and this is the reason that he is getting ready to opt-out of his contract. Nonetheless he will have to wait for the season to end before making a move.
There are reports that one team that may be the likely destination of Dwight Howard is Toronto Raptors. Analysts believe that this also makes sense. The Raptors squad is loaded in the back court, but lack a true NBA center, that one player that can assist on both ends of the floor and make an impact on close games.
There is no denying the fact that right now Howard is having the worst scoring season. He is averaging just over 13 points and grabbing 11 rebounds per game this season. While those numbers are decent, a move to the Raptors could increase those stat lines back to his normal 18-20 points per game as he would become more influential in the Raptors offensive system.
