NBA Trade Rumors: Chicago Bulls unhappy with Joakim Noah, Dallas Mavericks possible destination
NBA trade rumors are swirling thick and fast. And to be true such rumors are only going to increase and not come down. Right now the player who is being discussed most as far as NBA trade off is concerned, it is none other than Joakim Noah.
Though it is still merely a rumor and Chicago Bulls have to officially speak anything on the issue, nonetheless there are reasons to believe that the team wants to trade him to the Dallas Mavericks.
Despite high expectations he hasn’t been able to justify the premium. It has also become rather very clear that Noah is no longer the player that came close to winning an MVP. Form isn’t the only ground that Noah could be traded. The Bulls would love to try and get a strong guard/wing player to help strengthen their back court. Also, trading Noah would let young big-man Bobby Portis a chance to play more minutes in the league.
A report by Zach Lowe in the Chicago Sun-Times says that the Dallas Mavericks may be the apparent destination for Joakim Noah. Lowe says that the Dallas Mavericks had shown considerable interest in Joakim Noah. And David Thorpe said that “his (Joakim Noah) go-to would be Dallas, who’s so desperate for that kind of energy again on defense…” Zaza Pachulia and Javale McGee are presently the two Mavs centers and Joakim Noah would bring a level of experience and defensive ability that would beat those two guys.
Nonetheless nothing is fixed till now and these are merely early rumors. It is definitely beneficial for both teams if this trade was to go ahead. Noah would fetch strong defensive ability to the Mavs, while his exit would open up playing time for the young, talented Bobby Portis.
