NBA Trade rumors 2015: Brooklyn Nets to trade Thaddeus Young to Boston Celtics, latest update
NBA trade rumors are spreading like wildfire. Lakers are worried about Kobe Bryant’s retirement and what will happen to the team that seems to have touched the nadir. They are on a losing spree and no one, not even Kobe Bryant could save them from sinking further.
But there are others too whose trade rumors have kept up busy recently. There are reasons to believe that Brooklyn Nets may actually trade as many as three players during the 2015-16 NBA season. According to rumors these three players are Joe Johnson, Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young.
There is no denying the fact that the Boston Celtics would have something exciting to offer in exchange for Young. While they have David Lee and Amir Johnson, Young would bring a level of offensive talent that neither Lee nor Johnson can match. Currently, Celtics are looking like a team that is going to come close to making the playoffs this season, so they need someone in the form of Young to come and mix things up and help them get back into a potential 6 seed or better.
Nonetheless things are not really going to be very easy. If the Celtics are willing to give up one of the 1st round draft picks it currently possesses, then the Nets would jump at the opportunity to trade Young. Young is on a good contract. Under ten million a year, which makes him more valuable, and he is playing good basketball at the moment, while the Celtics are hoping to make the playoffs and a guy like Young would help their chances.
