NBA Trade Rumors latest news: Rudy Gay of Sacramento Kings may move to New Orleans now

Is Rudy Gay all set to be sent to New Orleans? Though it is not yet certain, nonetheless there are reasons to believe that Sacramento Kings’ are all set to send Rudy Gay packing to New Orleans.

Reports suggest that the New Orleans Pelicans are working hard to improve their bench strength. They are of the opinion that without improving the quality, it will very hard to continue to win.

Despite the fact that they have won two straight, but there’s a belief within the team that a talent upgrade is required to climb out of its early-season hole and make a legitimate run at earning a postseason spot.nba 2015

In the meantime reports suggest that the New Orleans GM Dell Demps has admitted to looking into trade possibilities. According to multiple reports, the Pelicans and Sacramento Kings have had conversations on a deal centered around Rudy Gay. The Pelicans and Kings have had talks about a trade involving Gay and perhaps Ryan Anderson. This is not the first time the Pelicans have looked at trading away a valuable player such as Anderson.

Sacramento Kings’s 6.8 feet, 29 year old Rudy Gay is a great prospect for the New Orleans. Though, Anderson plays off the bench, he would look for starter-type money from the Pelicans or any team. He’s a lights-out shooter who is averaging 17.1 points-per-game and 6.2 rebounds while racking up 31.5 minutes-per-game off the bench.

On the other hand, Gay’s record is excellent. He is averaging 18 points-per-game and 6.9 rebounds. His scoring average is his lowest since 2013, but his skills and leadership would be a huge advantage to the Pelicans and help out Anthony Davis down low. It must be noted that this trade might not end up happening immediately as the Pelicans may wait to see if a better deal comes along, but they should not wait too long. If the Kings pull the trigger on a trade involving Gay, they won’t hold off forever.
