NBA Trade Rumors 2016 latest update: Milwaukee Bucks to go for Kevin Martin for remainder of season
Almost every team is trying to pick the best talent available. NBA trade rumors suggest that Milwaukee Bucks are actually trying to rope in Kevin Martin of Minnesota Timberwolves.
Though the team is still to publicly speak a word in this regard, the decision to bring Kevin Martin onboard certainly makes sense. In the meantime things will become clear next month when the whole trade issue will be settled on February 19.
There is no denying the fact that Milwaukee Bucks is struggling at the moment and the team management is looking towards strengthening the bench strength of the team. The team management knows that they have limited options. They also seem to realize that one way the team be able to fill some energy into the team is by engaging in a trade and they have interest in Kevin Martin of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
It must be kept in mind that Milwaukee has suffered badly this season. There is no denying the fact that one of the big problems has been bench scoring, particularly from their guards. Jerryd Bayless has played well but except him O.J. Mayo has played below par, Greivis Vasquez has an ankle injury and both Tyler Ennis and Rashad Vaughn have been very ineffective.
Nonetheless the single acquisition will not solve all their problems. Acquiring Martin isn’t a long term plan though, as he too is having a bad season so far. Another obstacle for the Bucks, or anyone else interested in Martin, is that he has a $7.4 million option for next season. Any team that is looking to trade for Martin would just want him for the rest of this year but that option means they could be caught with him for another season. Many people around the NBA seem to think that it is an unavoidable conclusion that Martin will be traded before the deadline. As the deadline gets closer and teams get more anxious, the market for Martin is likely to heat up.
