NBA Trade Rumors 2016: Kyrie Irving of Cleveland Cavaliers seems to be leaving the side
Things are looking very exciting as deadline approaches pretty fast. NBA trade rumors are all around and laters rumors suggest that Cleveland Cavaliers’ Kyrie Irving is heading to Los Angeles Clippers while Chris Paul who is part of the Clippers is headed to Cleveland Cavaliers.
While all trade rumors may not be true, we have come to see that most of the reports appearing in media have basis and mostly these rumors turn out to be true in due course.
Now a significant trade rumors seems to be everywhere. A report by ESPN’s Kevin Pelton says that there is one trade that may actually rock the foundation of two of the better teams in the NBA. This is a trade exchanging Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Chris Paul of the LA Clippers. His logic is that the Clippers would not be able to win the title now, while the Cavs have a “now of never” sense of urgency.
While talking about the rumors Pelton said, “Perhaps the only Paul trade that would make sense for both teams is swapping him for Kyrie Irving and a deep Cleveland reserve, needed to make the trade work financially.” While Kyrie Irving is not a bad player in any way, he is not as “championship ready” as Chris Paul. However, this is not the first time this was explored. In a Grantland column by Chris Ryan last summer, this was already considered, even if in a wishful manner. It was motivated by a vacation picture which showed LeBron James, Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade on a banana boat.
